An unidentified young man was killed after being hit by the Rajshahi-bound Barendra Express train at Dhelupara in Dinajpur’s Hakimpur upazila on Thursday (January 9) morning.

The incident occurred around 7:30 am. 

Local residents spotted the body near the railway tracks and informed the police. 

Members of the local GRP police outpost later recovered the body and sent it to Dinajpur Medical College for autopsy.

The matter was confirmed by Tanjilur Rahman, in-charge of the Hili GRP police outpost.
