DHAKA: Anti-kidnapping squad will be formed across the country.

The special squad of police has already been formed in most of the metropolitan cities and divisional levels.

In the wake of sudden rise in abductions across the country and according to the directives of home ministry, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) formed the anti-kidnapping squad.

Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG-Media) Jalal Uddin Ahmed told banglanews that police has general guidelines to control crimes but special measures are taken in some sensitive and important events.

DMP formed first the squad comprising of 40 police officials of different levels after the abduction and killing incident in Narayanganj.

Later, initiatives were taken to form such type of squad across the country.

The squad will rescue the victims and investigate the incidents.
