Met office forecasts dry weather across Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted dry weather with a partly cloudy sky across the country for the next 24 hours, starting from this morning.

A ridge of sub-continental high pressure extending to Bihar and surrounding areas, along with a seasonal low over the South Bay, is influencing the weather.

Moderate to thick fog is expected at various places, particularly during the late night to morning hours, and may persist until noon in some areas.

This fog could temporarily disrupt air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication.

The country is also likely to experience a slight rise in both night and day temperatures.

On Wednesday, Teknaf recorded the highest temperature at 30.6°C, while the lowest was 10.7°C in Baghabari, Rajshahi division.

In the capital, the sun will set at 5:38 pm today and rise at 6:42 am tomorrow.
