The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has raised the price of liquefied 12kg cylinder petroleum gas (LPG) for consumers by Tk 4 per, to Tk 1,459. 

The new rate was announced through a notice on Tuesday (January 14) and took effect the same day.

According to notice, the price adjustment was made following changes in the Value Added Tax (VAT) rate as per the VAT and Supplementary Duty (Amendment) Ordinance 2025 and related notifications.

For retail consumers, the price per kilogram of LPG, including VAT, has been set at Tk 121.56. For bulk supply through reticulated systems, the price per kilogram in liquid form is Tk 117.81.

Earlier, the LPG price was Tk 1,455 per 12kg cylinder, which remained unchanged throughout December and early January.
