BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will continue receiving treatment under the ‘one-stop service’ at London Clinic, as per the decision of the medical board, said her personal physician Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.

Speaking to reporters outside the hospital in London on Tuesday (local time), Dr. Zahid said the latest medical reports were reviewed by the board, led by Professor John Patrick Kennedy, which recommended additional tests in the coming days.

He further mentioned that board members from Johns Hopkins Hospital in the USA participated in an online meeting, after which the decision was made to continue her treatment under the ‘one-stop service.’

Besides, two more doctors in London are expected to assess her health in the next few days.

Dr Zahid said the medical board having some additional members will hold another meeting within the next two to three days after getting a few more medical test reports and then decide her next course of treatment.

He said Khaleda Zia's family members sought prayers from all for her recovery.

The 79-year-old former Prime Minister has been suffering from various physical ailments for long. She was admitted to the London Clinic on January 8.
