Three BNP-affiliated organizations—Jubo Dal, Swechchasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal—have launched a long march toward Agartala to protest what they describe as Indian aggression.
Thousands of leaders and activists joined the march, which began at 9:00 a.m. from the BNP's central office in Nayapaltan. The march is set to conclude at the Akhaura border in Brahmanbaria.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi inaugurated the event. In a brief speech, he stated, "India does not want Bangladesh to be governed by the will of its people."
Supporters began gathering at Nayapaltan as early as 7:00 a.m., wearing colorful caps and carrying placards and posters. The three organizations also held a short rally before setting off.
The march will proceed through Narayanganj and Narsingdi, reaching Akhaura by evening. Along the way, a roadside rally will be held at the Bhairab intersection, where leaders from the participating organizations are expected to address the crowd.
