BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has warned that attempts are on to turn the army against the people.

He said such efforts are being made so that a volatile situation can be created in the country.

Tarique Rahman made these statements while speaking at an Iftar gathering organized by BNP’s media cell at the Ladies Club in Dhaka on Monday (March 24)

He said people want stability in the country and do not wish to return to previous conditions, urging everyone to unite on one platform to resist all conspiracies at any cost.

Tarique also called on journalists to present the truth to the nation.

He emphasized that the sacrifices made during the Liberation War, the struggles of political activists for 16 years, and the loss of lives in the July uprising must not go in vain.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who also spoke at the event, said a calculated conspiracy is underway to destabilize the country. He claimed that attempts are being made to discredit the army, posing a threat to the nation’s independence and sovereignty.
