Ireland secured a commanding 47-run victory over Bangladesh in the second T20 International, clinching the series with one match remaining.
Earlier in the day, the Ireland Women’s team won the toss and chose to bat first. They posted 134 runs for 5 against Bangladesh at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday (December 7).
Laura Delany was the top scorer for Ireland, contributing 35 runs, while Orla Prendergast added 32 runs.
For Bangladesh, Nahida Akter impressed with the ball, claiming 2 wickets for 20 runs in four overs. Jahanara Alam, Jannatul Ferdous, and Fahima Khatun each took one wicket to help limit the Irish team's total.
In response, Bangladesh lost all wickets to score only 87 runs. Sharmin Akter took the highest 38 off 43 balls.
