The Bangladesh Railway has begun selling advance intercity train tickets online ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. 

Ticket sales for trains in the west zone started at 8 am on Friday, with journeys available from 24 March. Sales for the east zone will begin at 2 pm the same day.

Advance tickets will be available for seven days, covering journeys from 25 to 30 March. 

Tickets for travel on 31 March, 1 April, and 2 April will be sold based on moon sighting.

Passengers can buy tickets for a maximum of four seats, with no refunds available.
