The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast that the weather across the country will remain mostly dry for the next 24 hours. However, light rain or drizzle is likely in isolated areas of the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.
The forecast, which begins at 9 am today, predicts temporary partly cloudy skies throughout the country.
The weather is influenced by a ridge of sub-continental high pressure extending into West Bengal, with a seasonal low over the South Bay stretching towards the North Bay.
The department also warns of light to moderate fog in various regions from midnight to morning.
Temperatures are expected to fall slightly, with nighttime temperatures decreasing and daytime temperatures dropping by 1-2°C.
On Monday, the maximum temperature recorded was 32.5°C in Sitakunda, while the minimum temperature today was 9.5°C in Tetulia.
In the capital, the sun is expected to set at 5:27 pm today and rise at 6:43 am tomorrow.
