The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted predominantly dry weather across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am today (Dec 10).
"Weather is expected to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies in some areas," the forecast added.
A low-pressure area persists over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjacent regions, with its associated trough extending to the North Bay. Meanwhile, the ridge of a sub-continental high stretches into Bihar and surrounding areas.
Moderate to thick fog is likely in some parts of the country late at night and early morning.
On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 29.6°C in Teknaf, while today’s minimum temperature was 13.1°C in Badalgachhi. The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours, up to 6 am, was 1 mm, recorded jointly in Rajshahi, Tarash, and Baghabari.
Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop by 1-2°C, while daytime temperatures are likely to remain stable across the country.
In Dhaka, sunset today will occur at 5:12 pm, and sunrise tomorrow is expected at 6:31 am.
