A survey conducted by Voice of America (VOA) Bangla found that 41.3% of Bangladeshis expressed negative views toward India, while 53.6% held favorable opinions of the country.
The survey also revealed that Bangladeshis generally view both India and Pakistan positively, alongside other development partner nations.
Among the 1,000 respondents, 59% expressed a favorable opinion of Pakistan, compared to 53.6% for India.
However, India received a higher negative sentiment, with 41.3% disliking it compared to 28.5% for Pakistan.
Myanmar emerged as the least favored neighbor, with 59.1% disliking the country and only 24.5% viewing it positively.
Other nations fared better on the "like" scale, with the United States leading at 68.4%, followed by China (66%), Russia (64%), and the United Kingdom (62.7%).
