GAIBANDHA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is set to visit Gaibandha on Saturday afternoon.

The helicopter carrying the PM is likely to land at Tulshi ghat helipad at around 12:30pm.

Following the visit of the Prime Minister, local Awami League and administration took huge preparation to welcome her.

Later, she will inaugurate eight projects at Gaibandha Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium and will also lay foundation stones of ten new projects.

District Awami League president Syed Shams-Ul-Alam Hiru told banglanews, “Prime Minister is to visit the district to stand beside and provide assistance among the victims of BNP-Jamaat violence.”

Deputy Commissioner Ehsane Elahi told banglanews that the premier will distribute cheque with the victims of post election violence and exchange views with them at Gaibabdha Circuit house.
