Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) officials have instructed Bangladeshi trawlers operating in the Saint Martin's area to hoist the national flag during their movement.

BGB Director General (DG) Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui gave these instructions while speaking to reporters in Satkania, Chattogram.

During the BGB 101st Recruit Batch Training Closing Parade in Chattogram, Major General Siddiqui said, "There is an ongoing conflict inside Myanmar between two groups. We have informed both sides that no further incidents should affect our country due to their internal issues."

He added, "We are ensuring that the trawlers going to St. Martin should fly the flag of Bangladesh. In that case, there will be no problems."

He also said the BGB is determined to protect the country's integrity and ensure security at the border at all costs.
