Dinajpur: Four people, three of them young women of a family, were killed in lightning strikes in Kaharol upazila on Wednesday morning.

Local sources said a thunderbolt struck on a house at Bergao village under No 2 Rasulpur union at about 9:30am, killing three women on the spot.

The dead were identified as Sadhana Rani Roy, 14, Chandana Rani Roy, 22, and Ratna Rani Roy, 12.
 
At the same time, a minor boy, Ishak Ali, 10, son of Mainuddin of Dabor UP, was also killed in lightning maid inclement weather.
