The Ministry of Cultural Affairs has selected eight filmmakers to make films on the July Revolution as part of the "Remembering Monsoon Revolution" program. 

The filmmakers are Anam Biswas, Humaira Bilkis, Shankha Dasgupta, Shaheen Dill-Riaz, Robiul Alam Robi, Tasmiah Afrin Mou, and Md. Tauquir Islam.

Each filmmaker will conduct workshops in the eight divisional cities of Bangladesh and produce mid-length films with trained participants from these sessions.

The announcement was made on Tuesday (Jan 7) during a press conference held at the ministry's conference room. 

In the conference, Sumon Rahman, a member of the search committee, announced the names of the selected directors. 

Mustafa Sarwar Farooki, an advisor to the ministry, was also present in the conference.

The films are planned to be completed by 2025.
